i caught this scene as we were flipping channels...

assorted CSI lab techs...LAB TECHS...surround the house with guns drawn....senior lab tech pounds on the door and says "OPEN UP! THIS IS THE CRIME SCENE INVESTIGATION UNIT!!"

after i peeled myself up from the floor laughing hysterically, i pondered under what circumstances i would be legally compelled to open the door to a lab tech.

I've been watching this show occasionally the last few months, and I did wonder whether or not people who work as lab techs labs carry guns. Even if you're out in the field to get a sample from a suspect, wouldn't you just take a uniformed officer with you?

Dude, I hate CSI

Because if you ever worked in a lab you know oh-so-well that NOTHING IS THAT PERFECT in the lab. It's more like: nothing ever works!!!

DNA in an open office plan? I'm telling you, the guns are the most believable part of the whole deal ;)

I give 1% more respect to "Bones" -last week they had her tagging along on a case involving tracking live humans (of course... eyeroll) but at least when everyone else drew guns on each other and then announced why they were drawing their guns she said "forensic anthropologist. that's why, um, no gun."
